Kern Valley beats Rosamond

The Lady Broncs varsity basketball team got revenge for an earlier loss to Rosamond.
The first go around, Kern Valley lost to the Lady Roadrunners 59-51. This time, the Lady Broncs busted open a close game in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Playing on the road on Feb. 9, Kern Valley trailed 39-38 heading to the final quarter. They outscored their opponent 24-18 to push them to the 62-57 win.

The game began when the Lady Broncs took the early lead 13-12 after the first. When the teams went to the break, the scoreboard read 24-23 for the Lady Roadrunners. It stayed a one-point difference after the third as both teams dropped in 15 points.

Kern Valley was able to pour in the 24 points and held their opponent to 18 points to take the win.

Three days prior the Lady Broncs were at home and took on Frazier Mountain. It was Senior Night so the Lady Broncs had extra incentive. They made the most of their opportunity as they clobbered the Lady Falcons 66-19 in front of the home crowd.

Kern Valley exploded from the gate and never looked back as they took the 17-7 lead after one. At halftime the margin had increased to 43-12.
It was more of the same in the second half as Kern Valley scored 19 in the third and four in the fourth to close out the victory.

The Lady Broncs (13-6, 6-3HDL) closed out their regular season on the road as they traveled to Cal City on Tuesday. After this they will wait to see where they start the CIF playoffs.
