Kern Valley Adult Co-ed Softball League begins play

On June 8 the field at Kissack Ballfield came alive as the Kern Valley Adult co-ed softball League began action.

Seven games were played this past week. Opening the season was the Wild Bunch versus Freedom. In a close battle, the Wild Bunch was able to hold off Freedom 15-13.

Game two of the week pitted American Made against the Little Rusty squad. American Made came out on top with the 16-10 victory.

The third game was the Big Kahunas taking on the Sons of Pitches (SOP). The Big Kahunas muscled their way to a 19-10 win.

In the fourth game of the week, the Punishers made short work of the KVHD squad. The final score saw the Punishers win 17-6.

The Punishers made it two straight as they squared off with SOP. The Punishers took the game 15-8.

In the closest game of the week, the Big Kahunas and the American Made team took to the field. In the end, the Big Kahunas won a close game 10-9.

The final game of the week saw Freedom continue to prove that the Little Rusty team is just that. The Freedom squad pounded out the 25-1 victory over Little Rusty.
