Kern Valley head coach Jessica Yasin said, “This was a great week of home games for the JV volleyball team. They came into Tuesday ready to dominate and did just that. They were offensive from the start and had fun playing their game. The Lady Broncs defensive part of the game stood out with Emmalyn Bechtel, Samantha Wyly, and Ashley Plante having great passes off the serve. Desert on Thursday was a great defensive team. However, we worked hard on Wednesday to prepare and our preparation paid off. The girls swung hard through the ball and because of that we were able to see more kills. Brynnleigh McCarthy dominated offensively and came out of the game with seven kills and a .500 hitting percentage.”
Kern Valley was back in action on Tuesday as they went to Frazier Mountain. On Thursday the Lady Broncs are back on the road as they travel to Rosamond to face off with the Lady Roadrunners.
