The junior varsity Broncs football team ended its season on Oct. 17 in Bakersfield.

With Boron, Desert or Rosamond unable to field a team, the Broncs were fortunate enough to get one more game against Golden Valley.

While the score favored Golden Valley 47-7, the Kern Valley squad can hold their heads high knowing they competed against a tough Division 4 school.

The one highlight from the game came when Chris Mendoza put the only touchdown on the board for the Broncs. He would pick off the Golden Valley quarterback and return it for the pick-six.

With their season over, 11 players from the team got the October call up to the varsity squad. They will help fill out the varsity Broncs and allow them to be part of the varsity game.
