Janice Kay (Wickoff) Lindsey was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. on January 9, 1953. She entered Heaven’s gates on November 17, 2019. She is predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Reba Wickoff of Lake Isabella, Calif., her son-in-law Eric Lawrence of Bakersfield, Calif., her grandson Tyler Weldon of Bakersfield, Calif., and her horse Ginger.
A loving mother and former fashion model, Janice enjoyed taking care of any and all animals and always found time to share a special moment with her friends and loved ones. For many years leading up to her passing, she opened her house to her extended “canine” family to share with her and supported her local animal shelters. She loved taking her grandsons fishing on the lake and was a dedicated sports fan of any team her family was involved with.
Janice is survived by her brother Steve Wickoff of Calif., her two daughters, Andrea (Lindsey) Frey of Florida and Dana (Lindsey) Lawrence of Calif., her granddaughters, Sophia Lawrence of Calif. and Elle Frey of Florida, her grandsons, Bryce Richardson and Drew Richardson of Indiana, Alex Richardson, Cameron Richardson, and Hudson Frey of Florida, and Matthew Weldon and Tanner Lawrence of Calif., as well as her niece Randi Joseph of California, nephews Shawn and Toby Wickoff of Calif., and her many pets.
A Celebration of Janice’s life will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2019, in Kernville at Riverside Park at 11 a.m. A donation of pet supplies (specific requests of blankets, towels, dog toys or dog food) will be collected at this time and taken to Lake Isabella Animal Shelter in honor of Janice.
Janice preferred not to end conversations with a goodbye instead she often said bye for now.
Mom, I love you. This isn’t a goodbye, but a bye for now.
