Harris ‘travels’ playing hoops

Lucas Harris has been playing travel basketball in hopes of improving his game.

He currently plays out of Bakersfield on the LoT (Leaders of Tomorrow) team. So far, he has played in 19 games and is averaging three points a game, He has recorded six assists (.3 pg), credited with eight steals (.4 pg) and pulled down 14 rebounds (0.7 pg).

Harris has two tournament coming up in July that are NCAA Certificate Tournaments that will have college scouts there.

The opportunity to play a higher level of basketball and to become part of a team-building experience has allowed Harris to bond with nine other players from the Bakersfield area. The tournaments will be in Anaheim, and then Harris will travel to Las Vegas at the end of July.

Harris played on the jayvee Broncs team last season as a sophomore.
