The 2019 Annual Christmas Parade hosted by the Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce was filled with joy and festive spirit. The community braved low temperatures and runny noses to participate in this year’s festivities. Multiple floats traveled down Lake Isabella Blvd. passing out an assortment of candy.
Various themes were made to accompany the spirit of Christmas including a float dedicated to Santa Claus himself. The gorgeous big red sleigh pulled by reindeer and laden with carefully wrapped presents on display.
Kern Valley Search and Rescue had the biggest presence in the parade with multiple tactical vehicles in tow. The Sheriffs Activities League Color Guard marched confidently down the boulevard in uniform gaining cheers from local veterans and military service members.
The crowd was concentrated in the Lake Isabella Shopping Plaza where the Small Business Saturday Shop-Hop was happening. The local businesses lined up along the boulevard saw a great deal of activity and were very much a part of the parade festivities.
