Freshmen Broncs clobber Bishop

Three of the four reporting Kern Valley youth football teams were winners this past weekend.

The Kern Valley Broncs teams made the long trip to Bishop and three came home victorious. The freshmen Broncs took their game by a score of 22-0.

They were led by Mazyn Weaver as he rushed for 189 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns. As the QB, Weaver completed one pass that went for five yards.

Quinton Pariseau rushed for 34 yards and converted a 2-point conversion. He also hauled in the one pass reception for five yards. Shane Prince toted the ball and went for 21 yards, while Phillip Kraxsberger rushed for five yards. Kayden Brown was credited with a minus five yards rushing.

On the defensive side of the ball, Weaver led the team with six tackles. He also picked off a pass. Jace Rowe collected four tackles, while Prince had three tackles. Adam Asbury had two tackles, including a sack, while Pariseau had two tackles and a fumble recovery. Jude Donoho had a pair of tackles, while Jonathan Phillips, Caleb Wild, Talyn Pierce, and Jackson Phillips each had one tackle.
