Foundation’s Crabfest promises entertaining evening

The public is invited to purchase tickets in advance for the seventh annual end of summer Crabfest for charity, which will be at Kern Valley Hospital, Saturday, September 14 at 4pm. Kern Valley Hospital Foundation organizes this event annually.

Treasurer for the executive board, Deborah Hess told the Kern Valley Sun, “This is the Kern Valley Hospital Foundation’s biggest fund-raiser for the year. We are currently raising money to provide a facelift for our cafeteria dining room. We would like to make it more inviting for our Skilled Nursing residents, visitors, and staff.”

Hess, who is also public affairs/marketing manager for Kern Valley Healthcare District, said that tickets are $65 per person, for the Under the Tent social event, at 6412 Laurel, in Mount Mesa. And seating is limited, so hesitating, one could lose the opportunity to purchase tickets at AltaOne in Lake Isabella or at the hospital Human Resource Office located at 12308 Mt Mesa Rd, Suite B. People can sponsor tables at the event for $500.

Hess said. “This event sells out every year. We have many great silent auction items and Rock Slide will be providing entertainment.”

The Kern Valley Hospital Foundation states that its mission is to provide financial support to the Kern Valley Hospital by funding and to support its programs, which have a positive impact on patients and the community. The nonprofit, tax-exempt, public health benefit corporation also states as its mission: to provide Kern Valley Hospital with modern state of the art equipment, ensuring the finest health care possible to residents, and visitors of Kern Valley.
