Nov. 12, 1924 – Sept. 2, 2017
Florence Taresh Brown, 92, of Lake Isabella, Calif., passed away on Sept. 2, 2017, in Mt. Mesa, Calif.
She died peacefully with her daughter, Lynn, by her side.
Florence was born to Charles and Mabel Taresh in Lake of the Woods, Minn., on Nov. 12, 1924. She was raised and spent her younger years in the beautiful Indian Valley. She spent the rest of her years in the Kern River Valley and raised five children.
She worked for many years at the Kern Valley Ice Company in Wofford Heights and made many lifelong friends from there.
She was a collector of many things and spent many hours all over exploring the KRV with her husband, Ed Brown, who preceded her in death. One of her favorite loves was TOPS Club; she really loved being a part of it.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Faith Lovejoy, and her family; Katherine Douglass, Eric Brown and his family; Robin Brown and his daughter; her daughter, Lauren “Lynn” Brown-Rolfson, and her family; and the Roger Fagan family, as well as many good friends.
A “celebration of her life” will be held for her by her grandchildren, daughter and friends on Greenhorn Mountain. “God Bless you, Mom.”
