July 24, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Historical Society’s July 24 meeting will be a special outdoors meeting at the rodeo grounds in Kernville. This
program is free, the public is invited, and you’re encouraged to bring your kids. The rodeo grounds are nice and
shaded, and a breeze blows through in the early evening. The fairground gates open at 5:30 p.m., and you are welcome
to bring your own picnic dinner and enjoy picnicking at the fairgrounds. The Historical Society will provide ice
cold refreshments. The program starts at 7 p.m. featuring Reid Hopkins and the One Spade Youth Packers, who help
local kids and have won many blue ribbons at the Bishop Mule Days. We also invited the Kern River Valley 4-H and
the Sheriff’s Activity League. We might have a trick riding cowboy and Roy Rogers, a.k.a. Bill Nolt. So mark your
calendar, tell your friends and family and be sure to come!
