KV Historical Society Event: Lecture

Lecture: Earthquakes and local geology given by Ernie Anderson, Research Geologist

Tuesday, September 17th @ 10 a.m at the Museum Annex

Ernie Anderson, with 40 years as a research geologist for the US Geological Survey, specialized in Structural Geology.  He has studied faults and faulting in a widespread area, and has over 150 publications.  Ernie will discuss our local geology and place it in a regional context.  He will also weigh in on the recently popular notion that the San Andreas Fault is being abandoned in favor of a new fault system in Eastern California. The presentation will provide a backdrop for the Field Trip on THURSDAY September 19th
