On Monday, January 13, 2020, Esther Lee Taylor, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend went to be with the Lord at the age of 96.
Esther was born on March 14, 1923, and lived a life full of adventure. Always ready to help a friend, she was as genuine as she was loyal.
During World War II she supported the effort as an aluminum welder at the McDonnel Douglas plant in Long Beach, Calif. She was active in the USO and was a certified trainer to ensure our soldiers received the quality equipment they needed to get home safely.
She married the love of her life Billy M. Taylor in 1947, and started a family.
They journeyed together living and working in California and Michigan before retiring in 1975 and moving to Lake Isabella, Calif. They were members of the Elks Club, the Moose Lodge, the American Legion, and many other organizations in the area.
After her husband’s passing in 1980, Esther continued her volunteer work helping people anywhere she could. Including, working with the Pink Ladies at Kern Valley Hospital and its auxiliary thrift shop.
She will always be remembered as a warm and gregarious person, whose clarity in life will be greatly missed.
She is survived by one brother, Houston. Her daughter Donna Renay. She has three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Love you, grandma, thanks for being you, we will all miss you very deeply.
