How to stay safe while entering areas impacted by fires. Matt Hill, a battalion chief with the Santa Monica Fire Department, shares some quick tips for people entering areas impacted (just make sure you’re allowed to be there first). (PBS SoCal) The new LA Community Meals hub has banded together some of LA’s favorite restaurants to make it easy for anyone to donate a meal (pizza, coffee carafe, breakfast burritos, you name it) to front line workers, evacuees, and relief organizations, while supporting local businesses. (LA Community Meals) KCRW has been contributing to the Support The Music Community mutual aid directory with resources for those impacted by the LA wildfires. They’re currently soliciting information about events and services that directly benefit musicians and music workers of LA, including benefit concerts, equipment donation/sharing, studio time, and fundraising links for individuals.
