Carolyn G. Watters

May 21, 1938 – July 7, 2019

She went to be with the Lord in Heaven on July 7, 2019, surrounded by her family and friends. She was 81 years young.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years George Glendell Watters; her daughter, Celia Juni; her son-in-law, Randy Juni; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Watters, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Caler; mother, Edith Caler; brother, Tommy Caler; sister, Merilyn Caler; and her son, Bobby Watters.

She graduated from Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, Calif.

She was Honorary Mayor of the Quartz Hill Almond Festival and involved in helping put the parades on for many years before and after.

Carolyn’s hobbies included dune buggy trips with friends, and crafts were a big part of her life. She loved making things for her family and friends.

She was an avid golfer for many years and was a member of many golf courses. Carolyn was also very much involved in their church, Mt. View Southern Baptist Church here in Lake Isabella.

Among other church activities, she was very proud to sing in the church choir. She loved music! Starting with her family years ago, when the whole family got together for music nights. She also marched in the Rose Parade while in high school. She was always the one that got everyone singing when family and friends would get together on bus trips to baseball games or other trips.
She was always the life of the party no matter what was going on!

Glen and Carolyn worked side by side for many years while they owned Texaco Phillips 66 Full Service gas station in Quartz Hill, Calif., and the Antelope Valley Carburetor Shop in Lancaster. She could do any kind of automotive work that needed done including tearing apart a carburetor and putting it back together in no time at all!
Services will be held at the Mt. View Southern Baptist Church in Lake Isabella, Calif., 2959 Erskine Creek Rd., on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 11 a.m. Fellowship potluck meal will follow after services.
