Cardinals tally 20 to beat Brewers

The Cardinals of the Major Baseball division of Little League circled the bases plenty of times to collect the win.

The Cardinals banged out 16 hits as a team. Seven players on the team delivered hits in the 20-4 victory. 

Jackson Phillips led the team with three hits, including a triple and a double. He would record four RBIs. Alexander Arana with three hits drove home four runs, while Chasen Alvarez collected three hits, including a pair of doubles and plated three runs. Zayden Henderson also had three hits and knocked in one run. Wyatt Wilkens had two hits, including a two-bagger to knock in one run, while Trey Robinson had one hit and one RBI. Jonathan Phillips had one hit, while Nicholas Murillo was credited with one RBI. 

Pitching for the Cardinals Alvarez tossed two innings. He walked five, allowed one hit, and struck out three. Luke Zurn pitched one inning giving up three walks, two hits, and had one strike out. Phillips threw one inning alloing one hit and set down one batter on strikes. 

The Brewers were limited to four hits in the contest. Knox Muncy had two that included a triple and a double. He recorded one RBI. Xander Anzaldo hit a triple that plated, while Bryson Helferty smacked a double.

Ward Hafenfeld on the mound for the Brewers, walked two and allowed five hits. Briggs Griswold gave up four hits and three walks, while striking out one. Abel Avila allowed three hits and walked three, Jaxin Chapman gave up four hits and walked a pair of batters.
