State health department releases latest COVID-19 facts, information
SACRAMENTO – The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has announced the most recent statistics on COVID-19.California has 739,527 confirmed cases to date. Numbers may not represent true day-over-day change as reporting of test results can be delayed.
There were 1,616 newly recorded confirmed cases Tuesday. Numbers do not represent true day-over-day change as these results include cases from prior to yesterday.
The seven-day positivity rate is 3.6% and the 14-day positivity rate is 4.0%.
There have been 12,343,797 tests conducted in California. This represents an increase of 75,849 over the prior 24-hour reporting period.
As case numbers continue to rise in California, the total number of individuals who will have serious outcomes will also increase. There have been 13,841 COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Kern County removed from SCE Power Shutoff Consideration list
According to the SoCal Edison Power Shutoff Consideration list, Kern County is no longer considered for power shutoffs by SCE. The shutoffs are affecting 253 customers in the Los Angeles and Ventura areas and many counties are still candidates for consideration.
