Bread of Life in need of volunteers

Press Release
Bread of Life Kitchen

The Bread of Life Kitchen has been serving the hungry and homeless sense 1996. The kitchen offers hot meals, sack lunches, Biblical counsel, substance abuse programs and a step up to a better life. We rely solely on volunteer food prepares and donations of food to keep feeding the needy. Already this year through October 2017, the BOLK, has served over 4500 meals. I want to thank those who have over the years and today continue to volunteer selflessly of their time and energy to see that the hungry are fed. Each week Monday through Friday the hungry and homeless may receive a meal. Meals are served between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. from our location at WEB Recycling, 3612 Suhre Street, Lake Isabella.

This Christmas it would be a wonderful gift to the community of the needy to be able to expand our food services to seven days a week. Sadly, we are having a moment of critical need. We believe God to provide, He always has. However, we would be remiss if we did not offer this opportunity to you, the members of our community. Currently we find ourselves very short on volunteer help.
The Bible says in: 1 Corinthians 13:3, “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.”

You can help. As a volunteer you would be asked to help prepare meals for about 3 hours, one day each week. It’s a wonderful feeling to know you provided someone with a meal one day a week.
