Boy Scout Troop 711 has been selling Christmas trees at their Christmas Tree Lot on Lake Isabella Blvd, in Lake Isabella, between 178 Bar and Grill and the Shell Station at Nugget Avenue.

The boys began selling the trees Friday, November 29, and had sold half their supply by Saturday December 7, when the Kern Valley Sun spotted them working.

The trees looked and smelled really fresh with very full branches. And a few of the boys opened one tree up, from its twine, so the press could view how green and full they were.

This is the troop’s first year selling the trees for Christmas. FFA usually sells them but the Boy Scout troop took sales over for this Christmas.

The boys have been diligently selling their trees after school every night until 8pm and weekends until 9pm.

The trees will be available until the troop sells out of its stock. The troop expected to have enough supply to last at least another week.

The troop had about 100 trees left, as of Saturday, and they’re selling wreaths and garlands, and reindeer decorations as well. They also have raffle prizes from around the valley.

The trees that the lot had in stock, Saturday, were nobles 5-6 ft, 6-7 ft, and 7-8ft in size.
“We’re also selling Douglas 8-9, 7-8, and 6 feet,” said Boy Scout Luke Beaury, who worked along side his brother Carter and troop member Micah Tillery. “We are selling until we sell out,” Luke said.
