The varsity squad of Kern Valley’s youth football program was the closest of the three losses that they would suffer at the hands of the Bakersfield Hawks. The defensive battle was a one score game with the Hawks coming out on top 14-8.
Sophomore:

The Hawks soared over Kern Valley in this game played on Saturday.
Freshmen
The Kern Valley freshmen squad had an unofficial bye week on Saturday as the Bakersfield Hawks do not have a team in this division.
All four teams will have their official bye week as they are not scheduled to take the field again until Oct. 19. They will be on their home field when they entertain the youth football teams from Tulare.
