Ark/Knuckle Up invites public to Peddler’s Faire

Organizers from the Ark/Knuckle Up Ministries are inviting the public to attend the annual Peddler’s Faire early this October. The church will be hosting this event at its church facility.

100% of proceeds from vendor sales will be going directly back to the church from vending sales, and all the different ministries of the church and vending organizations too.

“We have vendor spaces available,” said Tammy Birchfield who is organizing the event with Olivia Villanueva. “This is the 28th annual Peddler’s Faire. But this is the third year at this new location at the Ark / Knuckle Up Ministries.”

The address is at 5301Lake Isabella Boulevard, Lake Isabella. Hours of the event are Friday October 4 from 11am to 6m, Saturday October 5 from 8am to 3pm and Sunday October 6 from 12pm to 2pm.

According to Birchfield planners expect there to be a lot of food vendors for the event. As one enticement to attend, there will be Indian Tacos, Saturday from 11am to 2pm. The event will also feature breakfast burritos. Other foods will be available all day long, every day, throughout the whole affair.

Vendors at the event will also be featuring antiques and vintage items and a lot of crafts.

The event will also include musical entertainment. “It’s a family friendly event,” said Birchfield, “Everybody’s welcome.”

Jeanette Rogers Erickson, who just turned 90 years old this September, founded the event all those years ago. She’s also retiring and will have antiques for sale, along with many other vendors complimenting her excellent tastes. “It’s a boutique slash, every items that you can think of,” Birchfield said. “Right now we have 57 vendors. We do have spaces available. We would love to have someone come and play music and sing.”

Cash and Venmo and checks will be accepted for purchases at the event. “Come support your favorite ministry and all our vendors,” she said.

“Initially the Peddler’s Faire was supposed to be a time for people to come into the church community and mingle, and go to each booth, and buy a raffle ticket. Each booth is encouraged to have an opportunity basket (raffle.) They’re usually $1 per ticket,” Birchfield said.
