It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Anthony Disco, who is known to us all as Tony Disco. On 05/10/24, Tony was unexpectedly called to be with our Lord and Savior. Tony has been a long-time resident of the Lake Isabella Community for close to 60 years. He attended both Woodrow Wallace Elementary School and graduated from Kern Valley High in 1978. After graduation, Tony pursued his working career at Lake Isabella Hardware for 17 years. Over time, Tony became known as the go-to person when it came to hardware knowledge. With his friendly personality, Tony gained respect from all the frequent loyal customers. As an adolescent growing up here in the valley, Tony recalled many happy memories with his grandparents. One would be getting up at 5:00 am, riding up in his grandfather’s truck to the Johnson Dale Mill. There he would help load the bed of the truck with scrap wood to use during the winter months in the fireplace. After filling up the truck, Tony and his Grandfather would drive back down, stopping at their favorite fishing spots. During the summer breaks from school, he and his friends would venture off to the crossings at Erskine Creek and build swimming holes to play and beat the summer heat. He also loved to ride his dirt bike throughout the valley. Tony is loved by many people he touched while being here on earth. There will be a void in many hearts with Tony’s passing. We Love You and Will Miss You Dearly. Tony is survived by his mother Roxine Disco, cousin Michael Haas and his wife CeCi, and their children and spouses, son Mikey Haas and his wife Jen, and their children Blakey and Lily, daughter Bethany and her husband Jon, and their children Henry, Charlie, Nora and Cash.
