Kern Valley athletes named to All-League status

Hinkey named HDL defensive Co-MVP

The HDL has announced its All-League selections for football and volleyball. Kern Valley athletes saw themselves get a combined 17 of those selections.
The football selections were made on both sides of the ball. They resulted in the Broncs having seven athletes named to the defense, this included Daniel Hinkey being selected as the Co-MVP. Joining Hinkey as All-League players were Bryce Smoot, Jeffrey Clark, and Tavin Watts who were named to the first team All-League. The second team saw Blake Baughman, Drake Posney, and Ivan Mondragon selected on the defensive side of the ball.
Turning to the offense, first team All-League went to Zane Carver and Mickey Pearman. Being named to the second team were Carson Parks, Deegan Lee, and Aiden Madden. Joey Galvan was also named as an Honorable Mention All-League athlete. The Broncs finished second in the HDL this past season and made a run though the CIF playoffs.
The Lady Broncs volleyball squad had four players that were selected to the All-League teams. Ruby Hawkins and Jessie Bunting were selected to the first team. Paisley Wilkins got the nod for the All-League second team. Joining her teammates was Jayda Bushling who was named as the Honorable Mention selection from Kern Valley.
