Knuckle Up Ministries, in Lake Isabella, held a Nativity Event, Sunday evening, December 15, with the performance opening with the song Little Drummer Boy and some worship songs.

Jeanette Rogers-Erickson explained how Pastor Jeremiah Maxwell enlisted an artist from
Bakersfield to paint the backdrop, which appeared behind the live Nativity.

Gary Grimmer “Bird” who played a wise man told the Kern Valley Sun, “It was a blessing to be a part of this event. I’ve never done anything like it before. But I really enjoyed being a part of it. And I thank Miss Jeanette for inviting me to be a part of it.”

Phil Delatova, who played a shepherd, said, “What this means to me is just getting back to basics and having a little joy in one’s life. The reason for the season is Jesus.”
