“Governor Newsom once again is trying to destroy vital energy production in an unworkable plan that is not realistic and will further disrupt the energy market,” said Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20). “Californians will only be burdened by the costs of these impractical regulations. Rather than trying to score political points, Governor Newsom should allow for more affordable and reliable energy production, but instead he chooses a path toward more instability in refinery supply and even gas prices. It’s time to make energy policy grounded in economic reality and facts, instead of seeking headlines.”
