On Wednesday, January 31, Bishop came to town and the KV boys wrestling team celebrated their senior night. Hunter Watts, Ryan Prince, and Cam Thomas were celebrated as senior boys and Alaina Check and Jayden Ritchison represented the Broncs as senior girls.
Kern Valley won as a team and the majority of Broncs wrestlers pinned their opponents.
In late January, The girls wrestling squad competed at the Queen of the Land tournament on January 20, the KV squad placed ninth out of 25 teams. In 15 girls weight brackets, four Broncs girls placed. Megan Abbott and Summer Santos each placed third, and Jayden Ritchison and LP Ministero placed fourth.
On Friday, the boys head to Delano for the CIFCS wrestling tournament and the girls grapplers travel to Morro Bay for the girls CIFCS wrestling championships.
