The Kernville Chamber of Commerce returns its once faded Whitewater Wednesday, June 12, at Riverside Park.
On the Kern River, the event includes an entire day of sunshine and action packed rapids according to the chamber’s promotion.
The Kernville Chamber of Commerce and commercial rafting companies operating on the Kern River are planning to sponsor differing trip options to choose from and the selections vary in length and type. Examples of trip options are a one-hour Lickety Split Trip for $65 per person, and a two hour Sequoia Splash Run for $125 per person.
Lunch is included with every trip. And extra lunches are available for purchase to those attending.
Proceeds are for the Kernville Chamber of Commerce to help fund recreation and event center projects, along with the annual celebratory Christmas at Kernville, and maintenance of the community facilities.
Professional guides will be leading each trip and contributing outfitters will be providing equipment.
