Kern County Sheriff’s Office – Public Information Officer
On May 29, 2024, at approximately 11:30 a.m., deputies assigned to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Kern Valley Substation were dispatched to Paradise Cove (10707 Highway 178) for a search and rescue. Three adult males entered Lake Isabella on a small boat which later capsized. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Kern Valley Search and Rescue Team with assistance from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife quickly responded to the lake and rescued all three subjects who were unharmed.
