CAPK and Rotary Club of KRV
Starting October 14, the Rotary Club of Kern River Valley brings CAPK’s Senior Food Box Program to the Senior Center. This is in addition to the current monthly USDA Food Distribution.
What is the Senior Food Program?
The CAPK Food Bank Senior Food Program is USDA-funded program designed to provide low-income seniors with a 30-lb box of healthy food items such as milk, cereal, protein, fruits and vegetables each month.
How do I apply?
You must be at least 60 years of age, a Kern County resident and meet these Federal income guidelines.
You must also apply in person at the closest distribution site to your residence.
Dial 2-1-1 to find the closest distribution site in your area.
What do you need to apply?
– Valid Photo I.D. (Driver’s License, Passport, etc.)
– Proof of Address (Utility Bill, Rental Agreement, etc.) P.O Box is not valid.
The first CAPK Food Bank Senior Food Program distribution will be Monday, October 14, from 10:45-11:30 a.m. at the Lake Isabella Senior Center located at 6405 Lake Isabella Blvd. in Lake Isabella.
