Cheryl Borthick, owner of Cheryl's Diner, sat with her two daughters, Friday January 24, Sandi Johnstone, and Susie Seeger who each have worked at the diner for much their lives.
The family, which just was just honored with a Certificate of Recognition from Congressman Vince Fong, for the business Cheryl's Diner is happy to show off their newly upholstered booths, which match the wallpaper in their restrooms.
Susie said when Cheryl's family was thinking about reupholstering their booth fabric, Susie saw the fabric, and some samples that went with their theme.
After they did the entire restaurant, they got an email from the designer, who resides in Australia. The email stated, "I cannot believe that my American Diner fabric is actually going into an American diner."
Cheryl said the wallpaper was pretty tricky to match up properly. A church member helped them hang their wallpaper, for a very good deal, and managed to match up the pattern very well.
