Broncs JV stay undefeated on the season

The Kern Valley girls JV boys’ basketball squad continues to beat any opponent they face. So far this season they have yet to taste defeat as they are 9-0 overall and 7-0 in the HDL.
Their latest victims were league matchups with Bishop and Mammoth. They also picked up a win over Boron in a round-robin HDL tournament. They played both league matchups with the Broncos and Huskies on their home court. They were in Rosamond for the round robin game. They would take of care of Bishop by the lop-sided score of 70-19. No score was reported in the win versus Mammoth. The Broncs clobbered the Boron squad 73-35.
In the Bishop game, 11 players from Kern Valley contributed to the scoring. They were led by a pair of Broncs. Tye Humphers and Elijah Anderson each dropped in 16 points. Humphers would hit once from long distance. Jaadyn Cleveland added 12 points, while Ryder Pappas and Drake Posney scored six points apiece. Jackson Price and Xander Lofty hit the bottom of the net once from three-point land. Four players had two points apiece. Noah Ross, Zane Pappas, Ethan Mauer, and Israel Padilla scored two points to wrap up the scoring for Kern Valley. Ross led the team in assists by handing put nine. Lofty finished with four assists, while Padilla was credited with three. One assist each was attained by Ewan Shea, R. Pappas, and Humphers.
Posney was the chairman-of-the-boards as he grabbed a team high 14 rebounds. Anderson pulled down seven boards, while Ross had six rebounds. Cleveland finished with four boards, while Price had two. Shea wrapped up the board work as he was credited with one rebound. Shea and Anderson each recorded one block in the game. Humphers led the Broncs with six steals. Ross had three steals, while R. Pappas and Anderson each had two steals. Finishing with one steal apiece were Mauer and Lofty.
The final score in the game versus Boron was 73-35. No other information was made available for this contest. Kern Valley continued league action on Tuesday as they went on the road and took on Boron. They will travel to Edwards Air Force Base on Friday to square off with Desert.
